Norbert Mould Oil EDZ Concrete Mould Oil has been developed using high quality refined base oils containing non-toxic surface active compounds. This mold oil achieves a low interfacial surface tension with the exuded water in the concrete, resulting in a smooth surface finish. Proper use of this mold oil achieves the following properties:
- Effective prevention of deposits in the mold
- Good rust resistance in steel molds under normal conditions
- Good release properties
- Effective prevention of pit formation on concrete surfaces
Applications
Norbert Mould Oil EDZ Concrete Mould Oil is suitable for use on both steel and coated wooden moulds and should be applied by spraying, wiping or brushing to form a thin layer (1 liter 40 - 60 m²) for best results. If too much oil is used, the spill must be removed upon completion, otherwise oil stains may form on the concrete. This mold oil can also be used to create concrete in heated molds.
