NORBERT L 250L is a special grease based on silicone oil and Teflon with high stability at high temperatures.
NORBERT L 250L has good penetration in lubrication gaps and difficult to reach lubrication points. NORBERT L 250L is resistant to cold water, hot water and even high temperature vapors up to 130°C, as well as industrial cleaners and disinfectants.
NORBERT L 250L is also resistant to pumpable foods and beverages, such as juice, beer or milk products. It is not resistant to organic solvents, strongly acidic or strongly alkaline solvents.
NORBERT L 250L meets the requirements of FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570. This grease has been specially developed for the food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and animal feed industries for incidental contact with food or packaging materials. The use of NORBERT L 250L increases the reliability of the production process. Nevertheless, we recommend to add a risk analysis such as HACCP.
Product application
NORBERT L 250L is used as a lubricating and sealing grease in the following industries: domestic drinking water valves, e.g. ceramic disc or piston spool valves, thermal regulators.
The viscosity of the lubricant is almost independent of temperature, so NORBERT L 250L guarantees a constant and stable regulating force throughout the entire hot and cold water range in, for example, single-handle faucets.
The lubricant is also suitable for valves and fittings of heating installations, such as heat controllers, spigots, press-fit seals, etc.
NORBERT L 250L is also an excellent installation aid for radial shaft seals and packages in contact with hot and cold water and steam.
Notes on use
NORBERT L 250L is generally compatible with most metals, thermoplastics and rubbers. Due to the diversity of rubber and plastic materials, we recommend confirming compatibility prior to batch use.
NORBERT L 250L can be used with spatulas, brushes or common metering equipment, as well as pad printing methods
