Performance factors of the molding process

Excellent quality and dimensional accuracy are essential for all metal processing, including molding, forging, cutting and stamping. Machining results depend heavily on the lubricants and release agents used. They must be easy to use, minimize residues and not interfere with downstream processing. Norbert Lubricants has developed and produced process lubricants that fully meet these requirements.

Process lubricants from Norbert Lubrication

Perfect quality and long service life: Our process lubricants provide high surface quality for products and protect tools and materials.

Clean working environment with low residues: machines, tools and working environments can be maintained with low levels of residues, water vapour and odours for a long time.

Ease of use and low consumption: Save time and money in production.

What are process lubricants?

Process lubricants are lubricants and release agents required for a large number of metalworking and forming applications, such as sheet forming, block forming or aluminum continuous casting.

Preferred for metalworking

Tube bending and deep stamping, forging and continuous casting, stamping and cutting have very different requirements for release agents.

What they all have in common is the high demand for a clean process, the desire to minimize residues and to reduce wear on tools and dies.

In addition the process should not produce any water vapor or pungent odors. The lubricant or release agent must not interfere with further processing. This is very important for the subsequent painting, welding or coating of the workpiece.

Quality process lubrication: the right lubricant for your individual needs

Norbert Lubricants offers specially developed products for a wide range of applications in metal forming and processing. The right process lubricants and release agents contribute to the highest quality, long service life and reliability of the forming process. The application of the most suitable process lubricant depends on the material and metalworking process, the tool surface and the processing speed. The temperature during processing is also important. For cutting, stamping and bending processes, lubricants and release agents with minimal residue usually work best, and lubricants containing solid lubricants (graphite in most cases) are used for thermoforming.

Norbert Lubricants' range of products for forming processes includes innovative products such as lubricants with or without solvents, graphite oils and suspensions, deep-drawing lubricating pastes unique to the global market, and powders and lubricant varnishes that keep machines running economically.
